Do you sometimes find yourself wondering what your purpose on this earth is? You’re not alone! Many of us, at one point in time or the other, fall in deep thoughts as we reflect on why we exist in this world…what our unique purpose is and it’s completely normal! It can get very depressing especially when looking at peer mates and people in our age bracket who seem to have achieved more in their own space. At such times, we beat ourselves up for having not performed outstandingly well and question our very essence.
Some have even explored various positions, places and fields, yet, can’t beat their chests to say that they have been successful. Well, maybe you don’t have to be so hard on yourself. Everyone on this earth has his unique purpose, its left on you to find your special gifts and explore them to the fullest. But, who better to help you find your unique purpose than God? He created you and blessed you with outstanding gifts. He knows best, the uniqueness in you:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:15)
Why not then call on Him to help direct you towards the path He has destined you to thrive on?
Come to our Lord in prayers and don’t relent to pour your heart out to Him. This prayer to St. Francis was said by Him when seeking direction towards God’s will for His life.
